Territory Manager (Manawatu)

McFall Fuel

Palmerston North, Manawatū-WhanganuiYesterday
Full time

What the role involves

  • Finding new opportunities
  • Building customer relationships
  • Driving sales performance

About the job

We’re growing. Fast. And we want someone who’s keen to grow with us.

At McFall Fuel, we’re not standing still, we’re building, expanding, and going after new opportunities across the Manawatu.

This is your chance to step into a Territory Manager role where you can make your mark, grow a region, and back yourself to win new business.

If you love the chase, thrive on relationships, and get a buzz from turning conversations into commercial outcomes, this could be for you.

What You’ll Be Doing

This is a hands-on, out-in-the-market role where you’ll take ownership of your patch and run it like your own business.

You’ll Be Out There

  • Hunting down new opportunities and growing the customer base across your region
  • Building strong, long-term relationships with existing customers and keeping them loyal
  • Spotting market trends and making smart commercial calls to stay ahead
  • Driving sales performance and smashing targets
  • Partnering with our internal teams to deliver a seamless, high-quality customer experience

We’re in growth mode, this isn’t a “hold the fort” role.

You’ll Have

  • Real opportunity to build out your region and make it yours
  • A strong brand and operational backbone behind you
  • The autonomy to make decisions and chase opportunities
  • Leadership that backs performance, not box-ticking

Who are we looking for?

You’ll be someone who backs themselves commercially and doesn’t wait to be told where the next opportunity is.

Ideally, You’ll Bring

  • Proven experience growing accounts and winning new business (3–5+ years in sales is a good benchmark)
  • Strong relationship skills — you know how to build trust and keep it
  • A results mindset — you like targets and you like exceeding them
  • The ability to juggle multiple customers, priorities and opportunities at once
  • Commercial acumen and the confidence to have real business conversations

Industry experience is great, but attitude, drive, and curiosity matter more.

What Success Looks Like

  • You’ve built strong relationships across your region.
  • Customers trust you, call you first, and stick with you.
  • Your pipeline is healthy, your numbers are strong, and you’re always looking for the next opportunity.
  • You’re known internally as someone who gets things done, works well with others, and helps lift the overall performance of the team.

Sound like you? Let’s go! We want to hear from you.
