Is SmartCVs free?
Yes. The free plan gives you 3 job scans a week, each with a tailored CV and a matching cover letter, plus the job tracker. Pro removes the weekly limit and adds the full LinkedIn optimizer, the browser extension and the Career Coach without limits.
What counts as a job scan?
One scan reads one job ad against your profile or one of your CVs: your match, what the job asks for, and a tailored CV and cover letter for it. The free plan includes 3 a week, and the week starts from your first scan. Pro has no weekly limit.
Can I cancel Pro any time?
Yes. Pro is paid monthly or quarterly with no lock-in. Cancel from your account whenever you like and you keep Pro until the end of the period you've paid for.
What happens to my CVs if I cancel?
They stay. Cancelling never hides or deletes anything: your CVs, cover letters and jobs are all still in your account on the free plan. The free plan's limits only apply to what you make next, such as keeping one CV of your own.
Which currency will I pay in?
The one shown on this page, set by where you are: New Zealand dollars in New Zealand, and US dollars everywhere else. The price you see is the price you pay.
How do I pay?
By card or Apple Pay, through Stripe. Your card details go straight to Stripe, so SmartCVs never sees or stores your card number. You can update your payment details from your account at any time.
Is my data safe?
Your CV stays private to your account and we never sell your data. The AI we use runs with zero data retention, so it doesn't keep your CV or train on it. You can close your account at any time, and ask us to erase everything in it.
