I don't have much experience. Is it worth it?

Yes. Study, placements, internships, part-time jobs and volunteering all count, and SmartCVs can only work with what you give it, so add all of it to your profile. Each tailored CV puts the parts that answer the job first, and says nothing you haven't done.

Where does my final-year project go?

In the details of your degree, under Education, or as its own entry under Experience if you did it for a real organisation. Either way, SmartCVs can bring it forward when a job asks for what it shows.

What if the ad asks for more experience than I have?

SmartCVs shows that requirement as not answered, and leaves it that way. It won't stretch your dates or add a job to cover the gap. Your match shows how much of the rest you answer, and whether to apply is your call.

Does it make things up?

No. It rewords and reorders what's already in your profile. It has no way to add an employer you never worked for, and if a rewrite adds a number your record doesn't have, it's thrown out. Every CV comes with a list of what changed.
