As part of Alliance Group’s commitment to supporting the future of young people interested in the meat industry, primary production and other associated industries we are pleased to advertise for this year’s Shareholder Bursary.
About the Bursary:
The Shareholder Bursary is open to those who have a parent/guardian or primary carer who are Alliance Group Shareholders and enrolled for a full-time course of study at a university or other agreed establishment within New Zealand.
Each year, one bursary is awarded. Key details include:
- Value: $1,500 per remaining year of study
- Duration: Up to three years
- Eligibility: Can be held alongside other scholarships or bursaries
- Fields of Study: Broadly interpreted to include agriculture, engineering, science, veterinary science, accounting, marketing, computer science, food technology, and management
- Selection: Made by Alliance Group representatives
The company reserves the right not to award the bursary if no suitable candidate is identified.
The Alliance Group Bursary recognises and supports the families of Alliance employees and suppliers while encouraging the next generation of talent across New Zealand.
The bursary will be paid annually, subject to the recipient remaining enrolled in full-time study and continuing to meet the bursary requirements.
Who Can Apply?
To be eligible, applicants must:
- Have a parent or primary carer who is a current shareholder and active supplier to Alliance Group
- Be enrolled in full-time study at a New Zealand university or approved institution
- Be entering any year of study
Application & Selection Process
- All applications will be reviewed, and shortlisted candidates will be contacted for a brief phone interview.
- Successful candidates from the phone interview will be invited to an interview, either in person or via Teams, depending on location.
- Final decisions will be communicated following the interview process.
Successful recipients will be asked to provide a photo and a short profile for use in Alliance Group communications. With the recipient's consent, Alliance Group may also share updates on their study and career journey throughout the tenure of the bursary.
