The Opportunity | Te Whiwhinga mahi

We have a permanent, full-time (37.5 hours per week) opportunity for a motivated Senior Lecturer in Human Resource Management to make significant impact and develop their career in teaching, research and service.

Digital technologies are rapidly shaping the way we recruit, develop, manage and support people at work. They also enable different ways to measure workforce and organisational culture. Within this change, the core foundations of good Human Resource Management, including ethical practice and an understanding of people and organisations remain essential.

We are seeking a Senior Lecturer in Human Resource Management who’s research and teaching reflects cutting edge thought and practice.

You will help develop and deliver engaging HRM learning experiences that connect established theory with the realities of contemporary workplaces. We are particularly interested in your expertise in digital HR and people analytics, including HR information systems, the interpretation of workforce data and the opportunities and challenges of AI in HR. Your teaching will encourage students to think critically, work confidently with evidence and make responsible, informed people-management decisions.

Alongside teaching, you will advance your research and scholarship, publish high-quality work and build collaborations within and beyond the University. Connections with employers, professional bodies and communities will help keep both your teaching and research relevant to the HR profession. At Senior Lecturer level, you will also contribute to curriculum development, student supervision, mentoring and the wider academic life of the Department.

Please see the position description available for more information.
