About the job
We're looking for a motivated and customer-focused People Operations and Systems Co-ordinator to join our People Operations team. Working as part of a small, collaborative team, you'll play a key role in delivering efficient and effective People Operations services across the Bank. This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their HR career who is looking to build strong generalist foundations while gaining valuable experience in HR systems, people data, reporting, and employee lifecycle processes.
You'll provide first-level support to leaders and employees, manage queries through the HR Help inbox, and help ensure our people systems and processes run smoothly. As the day-to-day administrator of Te Ara Tāngata, you'll support a range of activities including recruitment, onboarding and offboarding, people movements, remuneration changes, reporting, health, safety and wellbeing administration, and employee engagement processes. You'll be supported by an experienced People Operations team and have the opportunity to learn, grow and contribute to creating great experiences for our people.
About the role
As part of our People & Culture team, you'll provide first-line support and guidance to leaders and employees across a broad range of people processes and enquiries. You'll manage and triage requests received through the HR Help inbox, maintain accurate employee records, administer people systems, and support the delivery of key People & Culture processes.
You'll also play an important role in maintaining the quality and integrity of our people data, producing regular people reporting, and supporting leaders and employees to effectively use Te Ara Tāngata and other people systems.
This is a fast-paced and varied role that suits someone who enjoys helping others, takes pride in delivering great service, has excellent attention to detail, and can effectively manage competing priorities.
You’ll bring the following experience to the table:
- Recent graduate, or one to two years’ work experience in HR administration, coordination, recruitment, payroll, customer service, or a similar operational support role.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage effectively with people at all levels.
- A positive, proactive and customer-focused approach, with a willingness to roll up your sleeves and help where needed.
- Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a busy environment.
- Confidence working with systems and data, with strong Microsoft Office skills.
- An interest in HR systems, reporting, and continuous learning.
- The ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgement when working with sensitive information.
