United Flower Growers (UFG) is one of New Zealand's leading flower wholesalers, supplying fresh flowers to florists, supermarkets and retailers nationwide.

We're looking for a reliable, friendly and hardworking Wholesale Assistant to join our Christchurch team in Wigram.

This is a hands-on, varied role where you'll help with everything from packing flower orders and serving customers to distributing flowers after our auctions and keeping our shop looking great.

What You'll Be Doing

• Answering phone calls and helping customers in our wholesale shop

• Picking, preparing and packing customer flower orders

• Packing flowers into boxes for delivery

• Unpacking fresh flowers and putting stock out for sale

• Distributing flowers to customers following our auctions

• Keeping the shop, warehouse and work areas clean and tidy

• Helping with general day-to-day tasks as needed

What We're Looking For

• Reliable and punctual – someone we can count on to turn up on time

• Hardworking and hands-on – happy to get stuck in and keep busy

• Friendly and helpful – comfortable dealing with customers in person and over the phone

• Good attention to detail – able to pack orders accurately and handle flowers with care

• Physically capable – comfortable being on your feet, lifting boxes and moving flower buckets

• A team player – willing to help wherever needed and bring a positive attitude

Experience with flowers, retail or warehousing would be great, but it's not essential. We're happy to train the right person!

Hours of Work

This is a part-time position working Sunday to Thursday (31 hours per week), with the following regular hours:

• Sunday: 10:00am – 6:00pm

• Monday: 6:00am – 1:00pm

• Tuesday: 2:00pm – 6:00pm

• Wednesday: 6:00am – 1:00pm

• Thursday: 6:00am – 1:00pm

You'll need to be comfortable with early morning starts and working Sundays.
