About the job

Warehouse Supervisor – Palmerston North

Lead by example. Build a great team. Make things happen.

We’re looking for an energetic, capable Warehouse Supervisor who enjoys being actively involved in da-to-day operations, leading people and getting things done.

Milsons is a fourth-generation, family-owned New Zealand business specialising in engineering supplies and fasteners. We’ve built our reputation on reliability, speed and friendly service – and our warehouse team is central to delivering that.

Reporting to our Warehouse Manager, you’ll provide hands-on day-to-day leadership to our Palmerston North warehouse team. You’ll keep work flowing, standards high and people engaged, while continually looking for ways to improve.

What you’ll be doing

You’ll lead and develop a high-performing warehouse team, coordinate daily workflow and resources, and maintain high standards of accuracy, quality and efficiency.

You’ll also play an important role in building a positive, supportive and safety-first culture – setting clear expectations, developing your people and making sure health and safety is simply part of how we work every day.

This is a hands-on leadership role. We're looking for a visible, practical leader who enjoys working alongside their team, isn't afraid to roll up their sleeves and sets the example through their own actions.

What we’re looking for

You'll bring proven people leadership experience gained in a practical, operational environment. While warehouse or logistics experience would be an advantage, we're equally interested in hearing from people with backgrounds in manufacturing, production, trades or other hands-on industrial environments.

What's most important is your ability to lead people, organise work, maintain high standards and keep things running smoothly in a busy environment.

You'll be a confident communicator, comfortable managing competing priorities and committed to continuous improvement. A current driver licence and forklift licence are required.

Just as importantly, we’re looking for someone who is humble, hungry and smart – a leader who puts the team ahead of ego, has the drive to make things better, and has the people smarts to bring out the best in others.

If you're a practical, people-focused leader who enjoys being part of the action and wants to make a real difference, we'd love to hear from you.

Apply now and tell us what great hands-on leadership looks like to you. We will be assessing applications as they come in, so don't delay – apply today!

Applications close 27 October 2026.
