Trade Centre Supervisor -Tauranga

About The Opportunity

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with retail, trade sales or customer service experience who is ready to take on more responsibility, develop their leadership skills and help a great team deliver for our customers.

Working alongside the Trade Centre Manager, you'll help coordinate daily operations, supervise and motivate the team, solve customer problems and ensure the Trade Centre runs smoothly, safely and efficiently. You will lead by example and help deliver professional, accurate and timely service every time.

What you'll be doing

Lead and support the team

• Coordinate daily workloads and keep the team focused on priorities.
• Supervise, motivate and support team members to achieve their targets.
• Support performance discussions, development, training and new-starter induction.
• Lead regular communication around progress, opportunities and Trade Centre priorities.

Deliver Great Customer Experiences

• Lead professional selling and customer service by example.
• Take ownership of customer transactions from enquiry through to delivery and follow-up.
• Ensure enquiries, quotes and orders are handled accurately and efficiently.
• Help resolve customer concerns and share customer leads and information with Account Managers.

Drive operational excellence

• Monitor back orders and support timely action and follow-up.
• Support stock availability, stock optimisation and successful stocktakes.
• Help maintain strong merchandising, Trade Centre presentation and security standards.
• Support delivery performance and accurate, efficient branch processes.

Champion safety

• Promote a strong health, safety and environmental culture.
• Lead by example in safe working practices.
• Help ensure the Trade Centre operates in line with regulatory requirements and company policies.

What we're looking for

We're looking for someone who enjoys working with people, takes ownership and isn't afraid to get stuck in alongside the team.

• Experience in retail, trade sales and/or customer service.
• Experience supporting or leading others, or the confidence and drive to step into frontline leadership.
• A strong customer focus and commitment to delivering great service.
• The ability to organise, prioritise and keep a team focused in a busy environment.
• Strong communication, relationship-building and practical problem-solving skills.
• Integrity, accountability, perseverance and a willingness to keep learning.
