Mō te tūnga | About the role

Are you an experienced Senior Business Analyst who gets energised by making processes work better and designing smarter ways of working?

This is an opportunity to put process improvement and design at the heart of your work within our new Integrated Change team in Tamariki and Whānau Services.

You will lead the analysis of current processes, working closely with stakeholders to identify opportunities for improvement and design future-state ways of working that deliver meaningful and measurable outcomes. Drawing on frontline perspectives, business needs and strategic priorities, you will help shape new and enhanced services, processes and practices.

You will play a key role in shaping integrated solutions across large and complex programmes and projects, bringing together related change initiatives to maximise benefits and improve outcomes across Tamariki and Whānau Services.

Key areas of focus include:

  • Leading process analysis, improvement and future-state design
  • Analysing current processes to identify opportunities for greater efficiency, effectiveness and improved outcomes.
  • Translating stakeholder and user needs into practical solutions
  • Assessing the impact of design decisions and identifying opportunities to integrate solutions
  • Championing user and frontline perspectives throughout design and implementation.

Ngā pūmanawatanga ōu | What you will bring

You will bring:

  • Demonstrated experience working as a Business Analyst across a range of projects, ideally with at least five years' experience.
  • Strong process analysis, improvement and future-state design capability, including the ability to identify root causes and translate opportunities into practical solutions.
  • Experience leading business requirements gathering and analysing the impacts of potential design decisions.
  • The ability and flexibility to navigate large, complex programmes and understand dependencies between different change initiatives whilst managing changing priorities.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and facilitation skills, with an ability to communicate complex ideas to varied audiences and build rapport.
  • Experience translating detailed analysis into clear visual summaries and recommendations for decision-makers and governance groups.
  • Sound knowledge of common project methodologies.
  • Experience coaching and mentoring other Business Analysts.
  • An understanding and appreciation of cross-cultural issues and concerns, particularly tikanga Māori and Pacific peoples' cultures.

Oranga Tamariki offer a step-based remuneration package, that offers progression annually for experience through tenure. Annual remuneration for this position starts between $125,926 and $139, 459 dependent on experience.
