Drive the adoption of world-leading virtual fencing technology across New Zealand
eShepherd is Gallagher's virtual fencing technology for cattle, combining solar-powered neckbands, software, data and on-farm support to help producers move livestock remotely, manage grazing more precisely and operate with greater flexibility, precision and control.
We're looking for a Sales & Engagement Specialist to grow customer adoption and sales of eShepherd across New Zealand.
This is a hands-on sales and customer engagement role focused on generating leads, building pipeline, converting opportunities and growing customer adoption. Working alongside Business Development Managers, Customer Success and the wider eShepherd team, you'll work directly with livestock producers to understand their needs, demonstrate the value of eShepherd and guide them through the sales journey.
This is a predominantly work-from-home role, with occasional travel for customer visits, field days, demonstrations and industry events.
What you'll do
- Generate, qualify and convert leads into sales opportunities.
- Source new opportunities through industry networks, referrals, events and prospecting activities.
- Build and manage a strong sales pipeline from first contact through to proposal, negotiation and close.
- Utilise CRM and reporting tools to manage customer activity, forecasting and pipeline visibility.
- Support regional sales strategies and contribute to the growth of eShepherd adoption across New Zealand.
- Build trusted relationships with farmers, producers and rural stakeholders.
- Conduct product demonstrations and presentations, tailoring solutions to individual farming operations.
- Lead customer conversations, address objections and negotiate positive outcomes.
- Partner with Customer Success to support onboarding, adoption and long-term customer value.
- Monitor sales performance and provide insights on lead generation, conversion, pipeline growth and revenue performance.
What you'll bring- Experience in sales, business development, account management or customer engagement.
- Experience in agriculture, AgTech, livestock, dairy, grazing systems or another rural industry.
- Strong understanding or interest in livestock farming, grazing systems and pasture management across beef and dairy operations.
- Proven ability to build pipeline and convert opportunities into sales.
- Strong communication, relationship-building and influencing skills.
- CRM experience and strong commercial acumen.
- Self-motivation, resilience and a results-focused mindset.
