About the Role The Parts Manager plays a key role in driving customer loyalty by leading our Mosgiel dealership parts teams to deliver exceptional service. You will ensure customers have access to the right parts to keep their agricultural and construction machinery operating at peak performance.
You will focus on managing inventory, providing service, products and advice, and establishing and maintaining positive customer relationships to drive repeat business. This is your opportunity to actively manage key accounts and showcase your sales experience by selling parts both over the phone and in the showroom to our customers. While agricultural machinery knowledge would be advantageous, this is not essential.
What you will do This is a great chance to join our well established and friendly teams in our Mosgiel region. In this role, you’ll manage inventory, oversee parts sales, and build strong relationships with customers to drive repeat business.
Your primary responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Oversee the sourcing, ordering, receipting, and distribution of parts.
- Lead, develop and support parts staff to deliver on targets and provide exceptional service.
- Analyse sales data and prepare regular performance reports for senior management, highlighting trends, opportunities, and risks.
- Control department costs and monitor parts KPIs.
- Encourage cross-functional collaboration with service and sales departments.
What you will bring This role requires strong leadership skills, professionalism, exceptional inventory management skills and a commitment to accuracy, communication, and accountability, along with:
- Previous experience managing a busy automotive parts department.
- Strong commercial and operational acumen.
- Exposure to inventory control and effective stocktake measures.
- The ability to multitask, problem solve and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated experience in championing health and safety systems, regulations and procedures.
- Dedication to delivering exceptional customer service and satisfaction.
- Sound knowledge of diesel-powered agricultural, construction, or earthmoving machinery is preferred.
