Kmart Store Inventory Managers are critical to our success, leading from the front and working alongside their teams every day. They play a key role in ensuring stock is received, replenished, controlled and available when customers need it, driving efficient stock flow from back of house to the shop floor. This is a highly hands-on role, with leaders actively supporting their teams across both the back of house and the sales floor, ensuring operational processes are executed safely, accurately and consistently. Store Inventory Managers thrive in fast-paced environments, coaching team members, driving process excellence and delivering strong inventory, compliance and store performance outcomes.
What you’ll be doing
✅ Leadership & Motivation – Lead by example through a hands-on approach, working alongside team members to provide support, foster collaboration, and motivate individuals to achieve shared goals and high performance.
✅ Strategic Thinking – Seeks out new ways to optimise store operations and improve inventory processes, testing new approaches, analysing results, and refining methods to enhance efficiency and customer experience.
✅ Relationship Building – Keeps everyone informed to avoid surprises, fostering collaboration and unified approach while actively seeking input, valuing diverse perspectives and recognising individual contributions.
✅ Operational Excellence – Quickly identify and address process issues using metrics and benchmarks to uncover gaps, continuously refining workflows to improve efficiency and outcomes while eliminating waste and streamlining operations.
✅ Resilience & Adaptability – Demonstrate accountability by owning outcomes and ensuring goals and standards are consistently achieved.
