IT Sales, Service & Procurement Coordinator
Mills Recruitment
What the role involves
- Building client relationships
- Processing client orders
- Managing hardware procurement
What they ask for
ability to start soon and commit through mid-May; ability to travel to Queenstown for training
About the job
Our client is an established ICT services company with offices across New Zealand and Australia, and more than 25 years of experience. They provide managed services, cloud solutions and telecommunications to business clients, and they're a Microsoft cloud solution partner, with ongoing training in the latest Microsoft technologies.
They're now investing in Wanaka and want someone to lead and grow their presence there. This is a genuine way into a real tech company, with room to build a long-term career. The team is high-performing and works autonomously in a high-trust culture. Nobody is micromanaged: people own their work and deliver, and there's flexibility that works both ways.
Your New Role
You'll be the company's face in Wanaka. You'll build relationships with local businesses, organisations and consumers, and help develop a new walk-in store. You'll also look after national hardware and software procurement and account administration. That side is busiest (around 60% of the role) through to mid-May, then eases off.
Key Responsibilities Include
- Building relationships with local businesses, organisations and consumers, and helping develop the Wanaka walk-in store
- Preparing accurate sales quotes, and coordinating and processing client orders
- Running hardware and software procurement nationwide (training provided)
- Managing client renewals for hardware, software and Microsoft 365 agreements
- Adding and removing Microsoft licences, and keeping accounts and spreadsheets up to date
- Compiling and submitting monthly SPLA and KPI reports, and completing recurring tasks such as MSA changes and OM scheduling
- Providing admin support, including coordinating the on-call roster
What's on offer:
- Location: Wanaka, with occasional travel to Queenstown for training
- Salary: Competitive and negotiable depending on experience, plus KiwiSaver
- Hours: Permanent full-time, 30-40 hours a week, Monday to Saturday (flexible for the right person)
- Training: Hands-on training from the local team, plus Apple repair and Microsoft certifications
- Career: A real path to grow your tech career with a trans-Tasman company
About You
Training starts now, so this role suits someone who can start soon and commit through the busy period to mid-May.
We Are Seeking a Candidate With
- The drive to work autonomously and manage your own workload without close supervision
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail in quoting, orders and reporting
- Excellent communication skills and an enjoyment of building client relationships
- A genuine interest in technology and a willingness to complete Apple and Microsoft certification training
- The ability to travel to Queenstown from time to time for training
- Experience in procurement, sales administration, account coordination or IT (a bonus, not essential)
