The Role

This is a hands-on leadership position where you’ll be visible across our Christchurch and Timaru sites, supporting our frontline teams and making sure the night operation runs smoothly.

You won’t spend your night sitting behind a desk. You’ll be visiting sites, checking quality, supporting your people, responding to operational issues and making decisions to keep services running.

Wednesday-Sunday: 8:00PM to 2:00AM | $30.00 per hour

What You’ll Be Doing

• Lead, support and mentor our night cleaning teams
• Coordinate evening operations across multiple Christchurch sites
• Conduct site visits, quality inspections and spot checks
• Ensure cleaning standards, KPIs and client expectations are achieved
• Act as the first point of contact for evening operational matters
• Organise shift coverage and respond to unexpected absences
• Support rostering and workforce planning
• Deliver consumables and equipment to sites when required
• Support recruitment, onboarding and training
• Ensure equipment is maintained and used correctly
• Maintain strong health and safety standards
• Respond to client requests and resolve issues quickly
• Identify opportunities to improve service delivery

About You

We’re looking for someone who is reliable, confident and comfortable taking ownership.

You’ll Ideally Bring

• Previous commercial cleaning experience
• Experience leading or supervising frontline teams
• Strong leadership and people-management skills
• The confidence to make decisions and solve problems independently
• Excellent organisation and time-management skills
• The ability to prioritise across multiple sites in a fast-moving environment
• Experience coaching and training team members
• Good knowledge of commercial cleaning methods, machinery and products
• A sound understanding of workplace health and safety
• Experience with rostering, stock management and basic computer systems
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with clients and employees
• A proactive approach and pride in delivering great service
