About you
We’re looking for someone who thrives on bringing structure and clarity to complex work. You’re a deep listener, a natural problem-solver, a confident communicator and facilitator, and someone who can get to the root of an issue. You’re collaborative, improvement-focused, and love helping others succeed.
You’ll enjoy working with a wide range of people who care passionately about the social sector and the people we support. You’ll be comfortable working in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment and have a knack for balancing the big picture with the finer details.
What you’ll do
We deliver a diverse pipeline of work that is increasingly AI-enabled. From major change initiatives to continuous improvements, we leverage process, tech, and data to help teams do their best work.
Understand issues and identify solutions. Your role will be to break down business issues, investigate opportunities, and help create the insight and clarity that ensures our solutions target the real problem and deliver real value. You'll work closely with teams and leaders to understand their world, champion our ways of working, and identify what levers will really make the difference they’re looking for, by:
- Workshopping, interviewing and consulting with stakeholders to understand the current state and pain points within business processes and across organisational capabilities
- Investigating issues to find root causes, and defining business needs and desired outcomes
- Generating ideas to propose solutions that consider ways of working, process, technology, and data
- Assessing solution options and providing evaluated recommendations to decision makers
Support delivery and embed change. For individual pieces of work, you'll make sure what gets built stays true to the intent, and that the business has the support it needs to adopt and embed change. You'll work within multi-functional teams across Information Services and in partnership with our customers from the wider organisation to:
- Keep solutions aligned to the design and intended outcomes, including ongoing, iterative discovery and design as a solution is developed
- Support leaders and teams to adopt and embed new technologies, processes and ways of working
- Keep stakeholders informed, engaged, and seeking their input and feedback along the way
- Review results after implementation and measuring benefits
- Continue supporting teams and leaders to continuously improve operations
This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week, based at our beautiful head office in Hamilton East. While we do have flexible working options available, working as part of a highly collaborative team and with our business partners, it’s not possible to fulfil this role remotely.
What you’ll bring
You’ll have experience in:
- A business analyst or process improvement role
- Workshop facilitation, and gathering and analysing information to determine root causes and develop requirements
- Process and technology change implementation
- Project, business improvement, and agile methodologies
- Business process design and mapping
- Lean Six Sigma, UX, Design Thinking or other human-centred design approaches
- JIRA or similar planning tools
