Addiction Foods is looking for an experienced Welder / Fitter to join our manufacturing site in Te Puke.

This is a hands-on role supporting fabrication, welding, equipment repairs, modifications, installation, and general maintenance work across our production facility.

What You’ll Do:

  • Carry out welding, fabrication, fitting, and repair work.
  • Fabricate and modify frames, guards, brackets, platforms, pipework, and other components.
  • Repair and maintain production equipment and plant infrastructure.
  • Assist with equipment installation, modifications, and improvement projects.
  • Diagnose mechanical issues and complete practical repairs.
  • Perform cutting, grinding, drilling, fitting, and assembly work.
  • Work closely with the Maintenance and Engineering team.
  • Follow food manufacturing, health and safety, and site hygiene requirements.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven hands-on experience as a Welder, Fitter, Fabricator, or similar trade role.
  • Strong welding and metal fabrication skills.
  • Experience with stainless steel fabrication and welding is highly preferred.
  • Good mechanical fitting and troubleshooting ability.
  • Able to read drawings, take measurements, and fabricate accurately.
  • Experience working with manufacturing or industrial equipment is preferred.
  • Comfortable working independently and completing jobs safely.
  • Good attention to detail and workmanship.
  • Must have the legal right to work in New Zealand.
