The Role | Mō tēnei tūranga mahi Sunday - Monday 3pm - 11:30pm based in Christchurch.

Join our forensic residential service supporting tangata whaiora on their journey from inpatient services to living in the community.

The forensic service is a high needs service, so you'll need to be able to build strong relationships with tangata whaiora and their whanau.

What does a Support Worker do? You’ll work alongside individuals to support their recovery, improve their wellbeing and to live a life that’s meaningful to them. So you might be assisting them with meal prep and clean-up and other daily living tasks, working on an activity, and assisting with medication where required.

You’ll also

  • Focus on the individuals needs and provide culturally safe practice.
  • Complete relevant administrative tasks, take comprehensive notes, provide effective handovers to the next shift, and support and collaborate with your colleagues.

About You | Mōu

  • You’ll be someone who enjoys outdoor activities
  • You’ll be outgoing and enjoy engaging and supporting with others
  • Preferably you’ll hold the New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing (Level 4) or a recognised equivalent. To check if your qualification is equivalent, use the link below.   • Hold a full driver’s licence
