About the Role

Join the team delivering the Cook Strait Interislander Ferries – Wellington Port project, a complex marine and port construction package within a live operational environment.

This role is focused on commercial project delivery, with accountability for cost control, forecasting, subcontractor management and contract administration. Working closely with project delivery teams, you'll provide commercial oversight and help drive strong project outcomes.

• Lead project cost control and forecasting activities.
• Prepare and maintain accurate cost reports and cashflow forecasts.
• Manage subcontractor procurement, administration, claims and final accounts.
• Administer contractual obligations and support contract compliance.
• Assess, negotiate and manage variations and commercial risks.
• Monitor project performance against budgets and identify opportunities to improve commercial outcomes.

What You’ll Bring

• Tertiary qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or a related discipline.
• 5+ years' contractor-side Quantity Surveying experience within civil, infrastructure or major construction projects.
• Strong capability in cost control, forecasting, budgeting and commercial reporting.
• Proven experience managing subcontractor packages, including procurement, payments, claims and final accounts.
• Sound contract administration skills, with experience managing contractual notices, variations and commercial risk.
• Ability to work closely with delivery teams and influence commercial outcomes in a live construction environment.
• Strong communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
