As demand for our Project Strategy & Delivery services continues to grow, we're interested in connecting with experienced Principal Project Managers who are passionate about leading complex delivery environments, influencing strategic outcomes, and helping clients solve some of their most challenging problems.
Whether your experience sits in major capital-project delivery, programme leadership, governance and PMO functions, procurement and commercial management, or client-side advisory services, we'd love to hear from you.
Our Project Strategy & Delivery team works across infrastructure, transport, water, government, property, utilities, industrial and community sectors, supporting clients from early-stage strategy and project establishment through to delivery, operational readiness and benefits realisation.
This is an opportunity to join a highly connected team of project managers, programme advisors, commercial specialists and technical professionals working across New Zealand and the wider Beca Group.
What you'll do:
Depending on your background and interests, you may:
- Lead complex projects, programmes and multidisciplinary client assignments.
- Establish project and programme governance frameworks, delivery strategies and PMO/PgMO functions.
- Lead client relationships and create value by aligning delivery with strategic priorities, measurable benefits and lasting outcomes.
- Guide clients through procurement, commercial, risk and delivery challenges.
- Manage scope, cost, schedule, quality, risk and stakeholder outcomes.
- Support project establishment, business cases, investment planning and delivery frameworks.
- Lead multidisciplinary teams across organisations and delivery partners.
- Provide trusted advice to senior client stakeholders and governance groups.
- Mentor and develop project professionals across the wider team.

You'll be an experienced project, programme or delivery leader who thrives in complex environments and enjoys building trusted relationships with clients and teams.
You may have developed your career within consulting, engineering, infrastructure, construction, utilities, property, government, programme delivery or a related environment.
You'll bring:
- Significant experience leading complex projects, programmes or portfolios.
- Strong project-management capability across project establishment, planning and delivery.
- Experience in one or more of:
- Programme or portfolio management
- Project governance and controls
- PMO/PgMO leadership
- Design management
- Procurement and contract management
- Commercial management
- Programme improvement and organisational change
- Strategic project and programme advisory
- Strong commercial awareness and delivery judgement.
- Experience working with senior stakeholders, executive leaders and clients.
- The ability to influence, lead and collaborate across organisational boundaries.
- Excellent communication and relationship-management skills.
- A relevant tertiary qualification.
- Professional project or programme management credentials would be advantageous.
