Are you an electrician who loves tracking down faults and making plant run better? Join our Pokeno maintenance team and put your skills to work on real industrial equipment every day.We're looking for a Maintenance Electrician to join the Maintenance team at our Pokeno site. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you'll keep our plant reliable so our production teams can do their best work. No two days are the same. One day you're fixing a breakdown, the next you're planning a shutdown or finding a smarter way to stop a fault from happening again.

What you'll be doing

  • Responding to breakdowns and getting plant back up and running fast
  • Planning and carrying out scheduled maintenance and plant shutdowns
  • Fault finding and root cause analysis to extend plant life and reduce breakdowns
  • Repairing or organising repairs to mechanical plant items
  • Managing electrical spares, inventory and parts refurbishment
  • Condition monitoring and recording breakdown data to improve reliability
  • Developing maintenance procedures, SOPs and safe isolation practices
  • Helping train operators and contributing ideas to improve plant design and productivity

What you'll bring

  • An Electrical Trade Certificate
  • Full NZ Electrical registration, or the ability to gain it within around 7 months
  • At least 2 years' electrical and mechanical maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting
  • Experience writing JSEAs and SOPs
  • Flexibility to work day and night shifts, plus on-call and call-outs
  • The ability to stay calm under pressure and prioritise well
  • A proactive, team-first attitude and a real commitment to health and safety
