The Opportunity | Te āheinga An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Infrastructure Project Manager to join our Three Waters Reticulation Projects Team on a permanent, full-time basis. Due to the previous incumbent progressing into a leadership role within the organisation, this position offers the chance to step into a well-established role and make a meaningful impact on the future of our district's water infrastructure. As an Infrastructure Project Manager, you'll be responsible for the successful delivery of a diverse portfolio of infrastructure projects across the Planning and Infrastructure Group. From project initiation and planning through to construction and completion, you'll lead projects that support the ongoing development, resilience, and performance of our three waters networks. Working closely with internal stakeholders, consultants, contractors and our community, you'll ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to a high standard while balancing scope, budget, quality and timeframes. Key Responsibilities | Ngā haepapa matua
- To deliver on infrastructure and planning projects within the Council’s Long Term Plan
- Undertake the Project Manager role within the Councils Portfolios, Programme and Project Management (P3M) Framework
- Supporting the culture of supply chain leadership within project teams
- Deliver high levels of stakeholder management both internally and externally
- Responsible for ensuring contract documents and tenders are prepared in line with Council policy and legal requirements.
- Responsible for ensuring health and safety leadership is embedded throughout the entirety of the project life-cycle using the Council’s Safety in Design process
- Ensure accurate reporting on assigned projects by reporting on expenditure against budget on a monthly basis including variances and cashflow profiling
- Actively ensure that legislative requirements and Council policies and procedures are fulfilled, particularly in relation to all key relevant legislation.
Essential Skills and Experience | Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako
- Tertiary Project Management/Engineering/Architectural/Building/ Construction Qualification
- Well-developed interpersonal skills and relationship engagement
- At least 3 years project management experience working in either the civil engineering, 3 waters or building sectors is desired
