What You’ll Do
Be the welcoming face of Genesis Energy and help create a positive experience for everyone who walks through our doors. Based at our Auckland office, you'll take ownership of our front desk operations while working closely with our Facilities team to ensure our workplace is safe, welcoming and running smoothly.
This is a varied role where you'll have the opportunity to build your facilities knowledge and make a real difference to the everyday experience of our people and visitors.
- Be the first point of contact for employees, visitors, suppliers and contractors, delivering a friendly, professional and helpful experience.
- Manage day-to-day front desk operations, including visitor registrations, enquiries, meeting room bookings and general administration.
- Support the Facilities Coordinator with workplace services, maintenance requests, contractor coordination and office requirements.
- Carry out regular workplace checks and audits to ensure our office remains safe, well-presented and fit for purpose.
- Support workplace health and safety processes, including visitor inductions, emergency preparedness and evacuation procedures.
What You’ll Need
You'll be a friendly, organised and approachable person who enjoys helping others and takes pride in creating a great first impression. You're comfortable working independently, can juggle competing priorities and remain calm and professional when dealing with unexpected situations. Most importantly, you'll bring a genuine customer-first mindset and a willingness to learn.
- Experience in reception, front-of-house, customer service or administration, with a strong focus on delivering excellent service.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to engage with people at all levels.
- Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple requests and priorities.
- Confidence using Microsoft 365 applications, with the ability to learn new systems and processes.
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach, with the confidence to handle challenging interactions and support workplace safety requirements.
Experience in facilities coordination or workplace services would be an advantage, but it's not essential if you bring strong customer service and administration skills and are keen to learn.
