About the job

Description

About Acton International Marketing:

Lee Kum Kee sauces, Indomie noodles and Golden Sun pickles – you’ll recognise the brands, even if you haven’t heard of the business behind them.

Acton International Marketing brings these household names to New Zealand shoppers. Based in Ellerslie, this B Corp-accredited FMCG business connects well-known food brands with the customers and consumers who buy and enjoy them.

As Customer Service Specialist, you’ll help keep those products moving, working with customers and teams across the business to get orders right, resolve queries and deliver a service people can rely on.

The Opportunity

You will be part of a small customer service team, managing customer orders from receipt through to delivery and working closely with Supply Planning, Procurement, Sales and Finance to resolve issues and keep customers informed. Your role will be varied, with responsibility for:

  • Processing customer orders and invoices accurately, monitoring EDI orders and resolving processing issues
  • Coordinating with third-party logistics (3PL) providers and internal teams on inventory availability, order fulfilment and delivery queries
  • Maintaining accurate pricing and processing updates
  • Owning customer enquiries through to resolution, keeping people informed along the way
  • Identifying and supporting process improvement initiatives, including customer service reporting, workflow improvements and opportunities to automate manual processes

About You

You enjoy helping customers and understand how much the details matter. You will bring:

  • Strong attention to detail, particularly when working with orders, invoices and pricing
  • Clear communication and the ability to build relationships with customers and colleagues
  • The organisation to manage competing priorities and stay calm when things get busy
  • A proactive approach to solving problems and following them through to resolution
  • You’ll enjoy looking for better ways of doing things and be comfortable working across teams to solve problems and improve processes

Experience in FMCG, customer service or order management would be valuable. Above all, you genuinely enjoy customer service and see it as either a long-term career or a foundation for broader career opportunities.

Why join Acton?

Alongside Friday work from home and summer hours, this role offers the opportunity to take ownership in a small, collaborative team where your contribution is genuinely valued.

Working closely with customers, logistics providers and teams across the business, you’ll gain broad exposure to FMCG operations, with plenty of variety and room to grow your skills within the role.
