The Role

In Queenstown, first impressions come with a backdrop of mountains and a lake that stops people in their tracks. As Concierge at QT Queenstown, you will be the first face guests see and the person they turn to when they want to make the most of one of the world's greatest destinations. This is a part-time role with a minimum guaranteed 30 hours per week. We are looking for someone who genuinely loves this place, knows it inside out and takes real pride in creating personalised guest experiences that go beyond the expected. Candidates must have the right to work in Queenstown and be available for a minimum commitment of six months.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome guests on arrival, manage luggage, coordinate parking and operate the hotel shuttle service safely and in accordance with EVT policy, including confident operation of a 12-seater minivan.

• Provide personalised recommendations and bookings for local activities, dining, transport and experiences, staying current with area information and sharing it proactively with the team.

• Identify and manage VIP guests, liaise with front desk staff to ensure all special requirements are actioned in a timely manner and communicate any guest concerns to the Duty Manager promptly.

• Maintain the hotel's greeting board, ensure public areas and the front entrance are always clean and presentable, and complete all shift checklists accurately and efficiently.

• Provide barista service when required and ensure all guest purchases and activities arranged on their behalf are correctly billed.

• Be a knowledgeable and enthusiastic brand ambassador for QT Queenstown and the broader EVT portfolio, promoting hotel facilities, services and EVT properties at every opportunity.

What You'll Bring

• Previous experience in a concierge, front office or guest-facing hospitality role, ideally within a premium hotel environment.

• A genuine passion for Queenstown and the ability to share local knowledge with enthusiasm and expertise.

• A full New Zealand or international driver's licence held for a minimum of six months, with confidence operating a 12-seater minivan.

• The right to work in New Zealand for a minimum of six months is required for this role.

• A warm, polished and proactive manner with the ability to anticipate guest needs before they are voiced.

• Flexibility to work a rotating roster including mornings, evenings, weekends and public holidays.
