Trade Counter Sales & Office Manager
We’re looking for a proactive, hands-on Trade Counter Sales & Office Manager to join our Wellington team.
If you enjoy helping customers, keeping operations organised and taking ownership of a professional, well-run branch environment, this varied role is made for you.
Why This Role Matters
As a key point of contact for customers and the local team, you’ll deliver responsive sales and service support while coordinating trade counter, warehouse, stock and office requirements. You’ll help ensure the Wellington branch opens and closes smoothly, remains safe and professionally presented, and provides a reliable experience for customers and employees.
What You’ll Do
- Customer Service & Sales: Support customers through walk-ins, email and inbound calls, providing responsive service and sales assistance.
- Quotes & Administration: Prepare quotations for the Account Management team and complete accurate data entry, invoicing and packing slips.
- Warehouse Operations: Pick, invoice, pack and dispatch orders, unload stock and pallets, restock shelves, arrange transport and assist with product assembly.
- Stock Management: Coordinate stock takes, local purchasing, supplier requirements, faults, credits and returns, reporting to the Logistics Manager for this function.
- Branch Presentation: Keep the warehouse, showroom, office, customer areas and shared facilities organised, well stocked and professionally presented, coordinating third-party cleaning where required.
- Branch Access & Security: Ensure the branch is opened, closed and secured appropriately, with responsibilities shared or delegated across the local team as needed.
- Office Coordination: Foster a positive office environment and organise weekly branch meetings, catch-ups and toolbox talks.
- Events & Training: Support local company events and training set-up and ensure trade counter demonstration screens are operating and displaying effectively.
What You Bring
- Experience in trade counter sales, customer service, branch operations, warehousing or a similar hands-on environment
- Strong customer communication skills across face-to-face, phone and email channels
- A practical, organised approach with confidence balancing customer needs, administration and warehouse priorities
- Attention to detail when processing orders, invoices, credits, stock and quotations
- The ability to take ownership, coordinate others and maintain a safe, tidy and professional branch environment
- A collaborative mindset and willingness to assist across the branch as business needs change
