Humes is part of Fletcher Building and manufactures concrete pipe and precast structures, alongside a broader range of infrastructure products for civil, drainage and rural markets across New Zealand. We’re looking for a Technical Solutions Engineer who enjoys combining technical thinking with collaboration. You’ll work closely with customers, consultants, asset owners and our sales and manufacturing teams, helping turn engineering challenges into solutions that work in the real world. What you’ll be doing- Provide practical engineering support to customers and specifiers

• Help develop solutions that meet customer and project requirements
• Support the specification and application of Humes products
• Partner with Sales Account Managers on customer opportunities
• Review specifications and contribute to preliminary design and pricing
• Refine product designs to meet specifications and production requirements
• Provide technical input into major project tenders
• Deliver product presentations and technical training
• Support new product development and existing product improvements
• Build trusted relationships with consultants, contractors and asset owners.

What you’ll bringYou’ll be someone who enjoys listening, sharing knowledge and working through problems with others. You’ll ideally bring:- A BE Civil, BEngTech Civil, BE Mechanical, or relevant trade qualification

• Experience or exposure to civil engineering or precast concrete
• Practical knowledge of engineering principles and their application
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capability
• A customer-focused and collaborative approach
• Confidence communicating technical information to different audiences
• An ability to build constructive, trusted relationships
• A commitment to health, safety and safe-by-design thinking.
