Rotorua

Kia hiwa rā!

Love animals? Looking for a job working with animals? At the Agrodome we love animals too! The world-renowned Agrodome is a must on every visit to Rotorua.

In the heart of 350-acres of lush farmland, yet only 10 minutes from Rotorua city centre, you'll find New Zealand's Agrodome. For over 40 years, visitors from all over the globe have come to the Agrodome to see our world-famous farm show and farm tour. This is your opportunity to join a tourist "must see" for New Zealand.

The role of Stage Assistant and Farm Hand is critical to the experience that our manuhiri (visitors) have when they visit Agrodome. Reporting to the Farm Operations Team Leader this exciting and varied role will allow you to take care of animals, land, and customers with tasks including assisting with the farm show, guiding manuhiri around via tractor to explore the farm, and working on the farm itself. We're building a great team at the Agrodome and if you love working with animals we'd be keen to have you join us!

What We Offer

• You'll be part of our friendly and inclusive team environment
• A competitive salary and uniform provided
• Excellent surroundings - you'll be working both inside and outside
• The chance to establish yourself as part of the Ngāi Tahu Tourism group to grow and develop your career

A Little Bit About You

In order to succeed and thrive in this role you will need:

• Confidence around farm animals
• A willingness to champion and promote sustainable farm practices including leading our commitment to the Tiaki Promise by involving manuhiri in caring for Aotearoa while they explore our beautiful country
• Demonstrated knowledge and a willingness to lead a culture of health and safety excellence
• Ideally previous tourism or customer service experience
• A full New Zealand driver license

As part of the Ngāi Tahu Tourism group our purpose is to make the connection - with our manuhiri, through our people, to our place and Ngāi Tahu values.

We take great pride in warmly welcoming manuhiri to our experiences and manaakitanga (hospitality) is one of our core values that drives the way we do business.
