Permanent RoleFull TimeBased at Spring Hill Corrections Facility Mō te tūnga | About the roleAs the Site Learning and Development Lead, your role is to support site leadership in building the capability of their teams. Specifically, you will work assess current capability levels and training needs, ensure key processes such as onboarding of new staff is delivered properly and provide guidance on the overall learning and development tools and solutions available as well as facilitation. Other key focus areas for the role are:Primary navigator for staff on site to access and connect to learning servicesWork connectedly with regional and national teams to facilitate and deliver a wide range of learning and development opportunitiesStrongly connected to custodial practiceOversee support for new recruits as they progress through their initial pathways Mōu | About youTo be effective in this role you will need to have a good understanding of how adults learn and new ways in which learning can be designed and delivered as well as a good knowledge of the Department's L&D frameworks, pathways and systems. You'll be comfortable and confident in leading and facilitating learning and the use of multiple technologies in achieving this. With a natural style to work collaboratively and build strong relationships you will be the site champion and navigator for access to learning services.You will have a genuine interest for working within a site that is focussed on achieving objectives and better outcomes for the people we manage, you must have a thorough working knowledge and understanding of Hōkai Rangi and be able to articulate and demonstrate this.Along with the above you will also need to demonstrate:Actively promote and support the use of the online learning tools and resources on siteUnderstanding of L&D frameworks and systemsGroup facilitation skills and experience in the delivery of trainingWell-developed computer skills and knowledge of a variety of learning tools and platformsStrong experience/understanding of an adult learning/training environmentKnowledge of development pathways with the ability to influence through facilitationExcellent verbal written and interpersonal skills; ability to communicate complex conceptsMaintain and develop a high level of knowledge of the Department's strategic direction, championing Hōkai Rangi and our values Ngā painga | The benefitsThe salary range for this position is across 2 steps $95,080 - $99,782 per annum. Appointment and remuneration will reflect skills and experience relevant to the role.
