Site Engineer

Overview

The purpose of the Site Engineer is to collaboratively work alongside Project Managers, Project Engineers and other Site Engineer’s to ensure that Safety, time, cost, quality, and environmental aspects are planned and carried out to the required standard. Projects are across the wider canterbury region and will require travel from North to South Canterbury.

Role Responsibilities Include

• Actively participate in, Daily Pre-Start Meetings
• Ensure all documentation is completed, including Daily Logs
• Working closely with fellow Site Engineer’s, Project Engineers and Project Manager’s to support quality on site
• Inspection & Testing
• Internal Project Auditing
• Sub-contractor Performance Reporting
• Preparing and managing the monthly claims for payment
• Managing variations, forecast reporting, and preparing a monthly accrual sheet
• Assist with surveying and site set out as per site drawings
• Foster healthy working relationships, both internal and external
• Liaise and coordinate subcontractors on assigned projects as required
• Ensure all personnel have been inducted to site when required

You will have / be:

• MUST have a current NZ Drivers Licence
• Diploma in Engineering
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Physically fit and able to carry out manual labour as required
• Good verbal and written communication
• Excellent time management and organisational skills
