Creative Content Production Lead - Great content needs sharp ideas, thoughtful editing and someone who can bring it all together.

If that sounds like you, Stuff Digital’s Harakeke Content Studio is looking for a Senior Content Producer to lead the delivery of compelling commercial content across digital, video, social and audio platforms.

You will manage one direct report and collaborate with a talented team of content specialists. You’ll manage the daily production workflow, support and develop your direct report, and write, edit and produce content yourself. Working with the Content Director, designers and commercial teams, you’ll turn ideas and briefs into work that connects with audiences and delivers for clients. Job requirements

Lead production and keep work moving

• Guide, support and develop our Commercial Content Producer.
• Allocate work, set priorities and manage deadlines across multiple projects.
• Spot delivery risks early and resolve them with the right people.
• Manage the editing and approval process, checking work against client briefs, Stuff's editorial guidelines and brand standards.
• Load, optimise and publish content to deadline across Stuff Digital platforms.

Make the work better

• Develop content ideas with the Content Director, producers, commercial & editorial teams.
• Produce and edit content for Stuff.co.nz and our partners across digital, video, social and audio platforms.
• Sharpen copy and scripts so every piece has a clear story, the right tone and a reason for audiences to engage.
• Brief and coordinate freelancers and content creators.

Learn from what works

• Track performance and produce post-campaign reports, using insights to improve content and engagement.
• Bring useful platform trends, production techniques and AI tools into the studio's workflow.

Job responsibilities

• Strong experience producing and editing content in a newsroom, publisher, agency or content studio.
• Experience managing competing deadlines and supporting the development of others.
• An understanding of commercial content and how to balance client objectives with audience trust.
• Confidence with CMS platforms, digital ad specs and analytics tools.
• Excellent writing and editing skills, sound judgement and close attention to detail.
• Experience working across formats, with a good understanding of digital and social platforms and their audiences.
• A practical, collaborative approach: you can give clear feedback, solve problems and keep work moving.
• Relevant qualifications or equivalent professional experience.
