About the Role
We are seeking experienced Registered Nurses to join our team at White Cross Ascot.
As one of Auckland's busiest urgent care clinics, White Cross Ascot provides a dynamic and rewarding environment for nurses who enjoy variety, clinical challenge, and working as part of a highly experienced multidisciplinary team. With multiple part-time opportunities available, this is an excellent opportunity to join a service that operates 24/7, providing timely care to patients when they need it most.
Working alongside Urgent Care Physicians, General Practitioners, Nurse Practitioners, and fellow nurses, you will support patients presenting with a broad range of urgent and acute healthcare needs while contributing to exceptional patient outcomes.
What You Will Do
As a valued member of the clinical team, you will:
- Perform accurate nursing assessments and provide evidence based nursing interventions.
- Deliver safe, high quality, patient centred care across a wide range of presentations.
- Support patients presenting with injuries, acute illnesses, and urgent healthcare needs.
- Assist with wound care, health screening programmes, immunisations, and clinical procedures within your scope of practice.
- Promote health education and support patients to better understand and manage their health.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and patient records.
- Participate in professional development, quality improvement, and clinical governance activities.
- Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to deliver excellent patient outcomes.
What You Will Bring
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Current registration with the Nursing Council of New Zealand and a current Annual Practising Certificate.
- Advanced experience in acute nursing.
- Previous experience in an Urgent Care, Emergency Department, Acute Care, or similar clinical environment.
- Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills.
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A commitment to culturally safe care, health equity, and patient centred practice.
- An understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and its application within healthcare delivery.
- Legal entitlement to work in New Zealand.
The following would be advantageous:
- Experience working within an ACC accredited urgent care environment.
- Experience using MedTech 32, MedTech Evolution, or a similar patient management system.
- Authorised Vaccinator certification.
About White Cross Ascot
White Cross Ascot is a busy, well established urgent care clinic located within Ascot Hospital in Remuera. Our team provides comprehensive care for accidents and illnesses, supporting patients with minor injuries, fractures, respiratory conditions, wounds, burns, and a wide variety of acute presentations.
With access to on site radiology, pharmacy, and laboratory services, clinicians are supported to provide timely and effective patient care. The clinic offers a diverse and multicultural environment where collaboration, clinical excellence, and patient care remain at the heart of everything we do.
