Join our New Zealand Defence Force Facilities Management Services team and help deliver projects that support one of New Zealand's largest and most important military bases.

Citycare Property is looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead a diverse portfolio of facilities, infrastructure, renewals, and capital works projects across Linton Military Camp.

Located just south of Palmerston North, Linton is the New Zealand Army's largest camp and a key hub for engineering, logistics, infantry, armour, and a wide range of military capabilities. This is an opportunity to enjoy genuine variety, autonomy, and ownership while working alongside NZDF personnel, consultants, contractors, and stakeholders to deliver projects that support those who protect and serve Aotearoa.

What You’ll Be Doing | Ngā Kawenga Takohanga

  • Leading projects from planning and procurement through to delivery and handover
  • Managing budgets, forecasting, cost control, and financial reporting
  • Administering contracts including NZS 3910, NZS 3915, and NZS 3916
  • Coordinating consultants, contractors, and specialist service providers
  • Building trusted relationships with NZDF stakeholders and project partners
  • Identifying risks and driving continuous improvement opportunities
  • Maintaining project governance, reporting, and documentation requirements
  • Ensuring safe, compliant, and high-quality project delivery

What You'll Bring to the Table | Ngā Mea ka Mauria e Koe ki te Rūnanga

You'll thrive in this role if you're a practical, solutions-focused Project Manager who enjoys building strong relationships, navigating complexity, and delivering successful outcomes.

You'll bring:

  • 5+ years' experience delivering construction, property, infrastructure, facilities management, or capital works projects
  • Strong project delivery, commercial, and contract management experience
  • Experience managing project budgets, forecasting, and financial performance
  • Proven ability to build and manage relationships with clients, contractors, consultants, and stakeholders
  • Experience delivering projects through planning, procurement, delivery, and handover
  • Strong organisational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
  • A commitment to Health, Safety, Quality, and Environmental outcomes

You'll also need the legal right to work in New Zealand, be able to pass a drug and alcohol test, consent to a Criminal Record Check, and meet NZDF security requirements.
