Process & Projects Engineer

RedBull Powder Company manufactures a range of explosive products and provides comprehensive drilling and blasting services to quarries, mines and construction projects in New Zealand.

We are recruiting a Process & Projects Engineer to provide technical engineering and safety support to ensure safe and efficient production at RPC to deliver high-quality emulsion-based explosives (bulk and packaged) for our customers to achieve their blasting outcomes. Additionally, this position works in close collaboration with the site team to provide process engineering support for the production processes as well as providing some elements of in-house engineering project management resource, liaising directly with the Project Engineering team, and (where necessary) wider Project Management Team to develop and implement engineering standards projects and initiatives.

You will be required to;

• Comply with safe working procedures and instructions

• Participate and support with Major Hazard (MHF) site requirements and compliance needs

• Actively participate and support HSEQ compliance

• Actively support and implement continuous improvement and CAPEX project activities and initiatives

• Ensure adherence with quality processes and control, suggesting improvement opportunities

• Develop, review and update Technical and Engineering documentation for RPC manufacturing and production

You will need to bring;

• Chemical & Process Engineering Degree

• Excellent Process Safety and Engineering skills

• Superior Safety & Wellbeing Leadership and Compliance Management Skills

• Well-developed analytical skills with the ability to identify and address key issues

• Sound problem solving skills

• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks at the same time

• Excellent relationship management and interpersonal skills

• Well-developed verbal and written communications skills

• Strong personal presentation, history of punctuality and high work attendance record

Our Plant is near Maramarua, ideally the successful applicant would reside in the Northern Waikato, Franklin District or Southern Auckland area.

This position is available for an immediate start and will report to the Manufacturing Manager. You must be able to work effectively alone and within the team, contributing positively to RedBull’s strong values and culture. The successful applicant will be required to complete and satisfactorily provide a Ministry of Justice background check, pre-employment medical, including drug & alcohol testing. The position will also be subject to ongoing random testing.
