About the role.

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Process Cleaner to join our Timaru team. This hands-on role is responsible for maintaining the sanitation and cleanliness standards required to support our production operations.

You will help ensure daily, weekly, and longer-term sanitation requirements are met, supporting a safe and compliant food manufacturing environment. While the role is primarily hands-on, you will also be responsible for maintaining accurate sanitation records and documentation to support food safety requirements.

What you’ll be doing.

• Support Process Operators with daily cleaning tasks.

• Complete sanitation tasks required for production changeovers.

• Carry out deep-cleaning tasks in line with the Master Cleaning Schedule.

• Maintain accurate sanitation records and update supporting documentation as required.

• Follow food safety, chemical handling and site safety procedures at all times.

• Participate in a roster consisting of 12-hour shifts: 4 days (7am–7pm), followed by 4 days off

What you’ll need to be successful.

• Ability to work in a physically demanding, hands-on role.

• Able to work independently, follow planned work schedules and complete tasks with minimal supervision.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high hygiene and food safety standards.

• Basic reading, writing and documentation skills, with the ability to accurately complete records and follow procedures.

• Previous sanitation, cleaning, manufacturing or food production experience is beneficial, but not essential.

• Previous chemical handling experience would be advantageous; however, full training will be provided.
