Pastry Chef
We are seeking an experienced Pastry Chef to join the kitchen team at a busy meat processing facility, catering for approximately 300-400 employees daily.
Our client is an iconic internationally recognized food manufacturing company. They're committed to making life delicious for their people, consumers, and communities worldwide. They supply many different food sectors covering supermarkets, wholesale, manufacturing, e-commerce, and retail across the country.
This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate baker who enjoys working in a high-volume environment and takes pride in producing fresh, high-quality food.
Shift Details
- 5 days per week, rostered between Monday and Sunday
- Availability to work at least one weekend is essential
- Shift starting times vary between 5:00am and 1:00pm
- 8-hour shifts
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and bake a variety of pastries, cakes, slices, muffins, and other baked goods
- Ensure products are consistently presented to a high standard
- Assist with general food preparation and cooking duties
- Support meal service for a large workforce
- Maintain food safety, hygiene, and kitchen cleanliness standards
- Assist with stock rotation and other general kitchen duties as required
Skills & Experience
- Minimum 2 years' experience as a Pastry Chef or in a similar baking role
- Experience working in a high-volume commercial kitchen preferred
- Strong knowledge of baking techniques and food safety requirements
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team
