About the Role

As Operations Manager, your responsibility spans restaurant, bar, café, kitchen, conference and events, and housekeeping operations. You'll build, motivate and lead a high performing team that is engaged and accountable for results, setting clear direction to ensure excellent operational standards and consistent delivery. In the absence of the General Manager, you'll take overall responsibility for hotel operations, with accountability across all departments.

Key Responsibilities

• Demonstrate exceptional leadership behaviours that inspire the kitchen, restaurant, bar, barista and C&E teams to be best in class in service and cleanliness.
• Develop and implement the overall F&B and Housekeeping business strategy for the hotel.
• Provide strategic and operational leadership of the Housekeeping Department, ensuring exceptional cleanliness, presentation and service standards throughout the property.
• Identify and implement operational efficiencies that optimise resources, control costs and improve profitability without compromising the guest experience.
• Own the financial performance of the restaurant, barista café, C&E, kitchen and housekeeping departments.
• Lead risk management practices, departmental audits and corrective action plans to protect guests, team members and business operations.
• Drive recruitment, succession planning and onboarding across F&B and Housekeeping, maintaining a climate that attracts, retains and motivates top talent.
• Lead the kitchen and F&B teams on food and beverage offerings across restaurant, bar, in-room dining, events and VIP amenities.
• Assume full operational leadership of the hotel in the absence of the General Manager, carrying responsibility for decision-making across all departments.
• Lead business development initiatives including new revenue streams, partnerships and outlet concepts to drive growth beyond core operations.

What You'll Bring

• A minimum of 5 years' senior leadership experience in guest service or hotel operations, across Food & Beverage and housekeeping.
• Evidence of strategic and commercial thinking with tangible results, and multi-outlet or multi-property leadership exposure.
• Senior leadership experience in a housekeeping or cleaning context for a large-scale operation, with the ability to drive organisational change.
• An excellent understanding of hotel systems and revenue management principles.
• Proven experience operating within large-scale or complex hospitality environments, with the capability to step into full hotel leadership when the General Manager is absent.
• Demonstrated success in business development, including identifying and delivering new revenue opportunities or concepts.
• Strong stakeholder management capability, with proven ability to influence senior executives, suppliers and owners.
