About the job

Life tastes better with ice cream

With 19.000 expert ice cream colleagues and iconic brands like Wall’s, Cornetto and Ben & Jerry’s, loved in 76 countries, we are the world’s largest Ice Cream company leading the industry.

We create iconic ice cream brands that are part of everyday life, bringing moments of joy to millions of people around the world. Everybody loves ice cream. And as the world’s biggest pure‑play ice cream company, we have the scale and ambition to make a real difference.

What truly sets us apart is how we work.

We move fast and keep things simple. We turn ideas into action, trust people to take ownership, and work as one team to win together with integrity. Our culture is high‑performance, collaborative and focused on getting things done.

We’re curious and ready for what’s next. We embrace digital, use data to make better decisions, and keep learning, including how AI can help us work smarter and serve consumers better.

The role

We are building a new future as a standalone Ice Cream company, and transformation is at the heart of that. It is much more than a technology deployment: it will establish a unified global operating model, standardised processes and a modern technology landscape as we transition away from Unilever by mid-2027.

As Commercial Deployment Manager NZ, you will support the New Zealand business through the successful deployment of our new systems and ways of working across Customer Development and Go-To-Market processes. Working closely with global programme teams and local commercial stakeholders, you will coordinate business readiness, process adoption, deployment planning, testing, training, change and go-live activities. This role is focused on helping translate global design into practical local ways of working, supporting business outcomes, capability uplift and organisational adoption—not technology implementation alone.

What you'll be responsible for

You will:

  • Support the NZ business readiness across Customer Development and Go-To-Market, helping embed the Global Template, Global Standards and the “Ice Cream Way” with a fit-to-standard mindset.
  • Coordinate readiness activities across pricing, promotions, customer planning, Trade Promotion Management, reporting, order-to-cash, customer management and sales execution.
  • Work with local stakeholders to validate global designs against local commercial, legal, regulatory and customer requirements, consolidating input and identifying where localisation may be required.
  • Lead customer, pricing, product and commercial master data readiness, including data quality, cleansing, validation, governance and clear business ownership.
  • Contribute to local change and adoption plans, communications, training, stakeholder engagement, and super-user and change champion networks across impacted teams.
  • Coordinate business SMEs for User Acceptance Testing, support defect triage and issue resolution, and help prepare commercial teams for cutover, go-live and hypercare.
  • Act as a key point of contact between global deployment teams and local Customer Development, Sales, Commercial Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, HR, Communications, Technology and Data stakeholders.
  • Lead cutover activities to help protect revenue across the system go-live period, including coordination of customer prioritisation, EDI connection process and stock build.
  • Maintain strong programme governance, including readiness trackers, action plans, risk and dependency registers, decision logs, milestones and reporting, escalating issues where needed.

We're looking for someone who

You combine strong commercial judgement with disciplined transformation leadership and can turn global design into practical local adoption.

  • Has experience leading business transformation, ERP deployment or change programmes, ideally within FMCG or consumer goods.
  • Understands commercial and Customer Development processes, with exposure to sales operations, pricing, trade promotion management, customer planning or commercial excellence.
  • Brings strong coordination, change support, stakeholder engagement, process improvement, risk tracking and communication skills.
  • Can work with cross-functional teams through testing, deployment, cutover and adoption, balancing delivery discipline with practical problem solving.
  • Thinks end-to-end, takes ownership for actions and outcomes, and is comfortable working in a fast-moving, evolving organisation.
  • Values collaboration, clarity and low-ego ways of working across global and local teams.
  • Ideally brings exposure to SAP Order-to-Cash, TPM implementation, customer master data, commercial operations or Australia and New Zealand market ways of working.
