Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is the country's largest employer, delivering universal public healthcare to 5 million New Zealanders.We provide essential hospital, specialist, and community health services across 80+ locations — from large urban centres to rural towns and remote communities.Our goal is to improve health outcomes for all New Zealanders by delivering equitable, accessible and innovative care.About the RoleAs the National PPM Lead, you will be responsible for transforming how the Infrastructure and Investment Group (IIG) plans, manages and delivers its national capital and infrastructure portfolio through effective PPM systems practice.Working closely with national and regional delivery leaders, programme teams and portfolio management specialists, you will ensure the teams are supported by consistent, fit-for-purpose systems, templates, workflows and governance processes.You will champion a shift from compliance focused reporting to insight led decision making, helping leaders make better investment and delivery decisions through high quality portfolio information and reporting.This role combines systems leadership, continuous improvement, stakeholder engagement and capability development. You'll play a key role in strengthening portfolio maturity, improving delivery performance and embedding consistent project and portfolio management practices across Health NZ.About the Team/Service/LocationThe IIG team are focused on delivering high impact infrastructure investments that support the transformation of New Zealand's health system.Giving support, oversight and assurance across asset management, asset maintenace projects and programmes, the team understand that compliant, safe, fit for purpose health facilities, sites and equipment are essential for a well-functioning health system that improves the health of all New Zealanders.About youYou are a highly capable portfolio, programme or project management professional who enjoys improving systems, processes and ways of working.
