He Angitūtanga / The Opportunity
We are looking for an enthusiastic Kitchen Hand to join our team at Tauranga Hospital on a casual basis. You will help deliver a quality food service for patients, customers and staff while maintaining high standards of food safety, hygiene and customer service.
Hours are offered on an if and when required basis, depending on business needs. As this is a casual position, there are no guaranteed weekly hours.
Ko o Kawenga / Your Responsibilities
- Assist with basic food preparation, portioning and presentation
- Serve meals and provide warm, friendly customer service
- Maintain clean and tidy kitchen and dining areas
- Wash dishes, pots, pans and kitchen equipment
- Follow food safety, hygiene and infection control procedures
- Receive, rotate and replenish stock and supplies
He Kōrero Mōu / About You
- Previous experience in a similar role or kitchen environment
- Good communication and customer service skills
- A positive, flexible attitude and willingness to work as part of a team
- Physically fit, reliable and able to work independently when required
- NZQA Food Handling Certificate, Units 167 and 168, is desirable
- Commitment to high standards of food safety, hygiene and workplace safety
