Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role
Te Herenga Waka - Victoria University of Wellington is currently recruiting Kaituruki - Teaching Assistants to assist the legal academics responsible for LAWS212 - Law of Torts on a fixed-term, part-time contract.
In this role you will be responsible for assisting with the delivery of LAWS212 - Law of Torts course content.
Key responsibilities:
- Attending one stream of all LAWS 212 - Law of Torts lectures and remaining on top of all course material throughout the year.
- Answering student questions in office hours on a weekly basis.
- Organising student study groups.
- Possibly assisting with the marking of a student writing exercise in each of the two trimesters.
- Running/assisting with the running of the MPI tutorials.

Applications are welcome from Law graduates, postgraduate Law students and senior undergraduate Law students who:
- Have or are undertaking a LLB or equivalent legal qualification.
- Have an excellent academic record.
- Demonstrate sharp analytical skills, knowledge and understanding of tort law, confidence, empathy and desire to help students get to excel in their legal study.
