The Opportunity
Join a collaborative and supportive HSE team where you’ll work closely with site leaders and frontline teams to strengthen health, safety and environmental performance in a fast-paced, 24/7 operational environment. With exposure across manufacturing, process safety and supply chain, you’ll enjoy plenty of variety while making a visible impact on site and contributing to wider national HSE projects. In addition to this you will:
- Partner with operational leaders, workers and Health and Safety Representatives to strengthen HSE ownership and embed practical, risk-based solutions
- Monitor and respond to live HSE events, leading investigations that identify root causes, control weaknesses and actions to prevent recurrence
- Facilitate risk assessments and verify critical controls across high-risk work, contractor activities, logistics, process safety and plant changes
- Coach and mentor leaders and frontline teams, translating HSE requirements into clear, practical and sustainable site practices
- Support environmental, energy and regulatory compliance through monitoring, inspections, audits, accurate record-keeping and corrective-action follow-through
About You
You’re a credible and approachable HSE professional who enjoys being visible on site, building trusted relationships and helping others take ownership of safety and environmental outcomes. You bring sound judgement, a practical mindset and the confidence to work independently, challenge respectfully and bring the wider team together when needed. In addition to this, you will have:
- At least three years’ practical HSE experience, ideally within FMCG, food manufacturing or another high-risk operational environment
- A recognised New Zealand health and safety qualification or equivalent practical competency
- Experience supporting risk assessments, critical controls, incident investigations, inspections, audits and corrective actions
- Strong coaching, communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence timely action without direct authority
- A flexible, outcomes-focused approach and the ability to balance safety and environmental priorities in a complex 24/7 operation
What We Offer
- Competitive pay and benefits
- Career development and progression opportunities within a global organisation
- A collaborative and supportive workplace culture where your contribution makes a real impact
- A strong commitment to safety, quality, innovation and sustainability
- Flexible working arrangements where possible
