Qube Ports NZ is seeking an enthusiastic HSTEQ Cadet to join our two-year Cadet Programme. This is an opportunity to gain broad exposure across Health, Safety, Training, Environment and Quality while learning from experienced professionals in a dynamic operational environment.

Through structured rotations and practical learning, you'll develop the capability to become a future HSTEQ professional. This is a paid two-year Cadetship Programme with the opportunity to progress into a permanent HSTEQ role upon successful completion.

What You'll Experience:

  • Health and safety systems and critical risk management
  • Training coordination and inductions
  • Hazard identification and risk assessment
  • Incident investigation and reporting
  • Participate in safety initiatives, improvement projects and organisational risk management programmes
  • Environmental compliance and sustainability initiatives
  • Audits, quality systems and continuous improvement
  • Exposure to port, forestry, logistics and transport operations across New Zealand

What We're Looking For:

  • Recently completed or currently completing a qualification in Health & Safety, Environmental Management, Occupational Health, Quality Management or a related field
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking
  • Excellent communication skills
  • A proactive and positive attitude
  • A genuine interest in creating safer workplaces
