Westella Westella Homestead provides specialist dementia care in a peaceful rural setting, supporting up to 26 residents. We are seeking a Casual Health Care Assistant to provide relief cover for planned and unplanned leave. If you are compassionate, reliable and bring plenty of aroha to supporting people living with dementia, we'd love to hear from you.

The Role | Mō tēnei tūranga mahi As a Casual Support Worker, you'll provide relief cover for permanent team members, supporting people living with dementia in a small, caring team. This is a rewarding opportunity to gain experience, grow your skills, and make a meaningful difference.
We're looking for someone who brings kindness, patience, and plenty of aroha to supporting people living with dementia.
Hours are offered on an as-needed basis to cover planned and unplanned leave. Our service operates 24/7, so flexibility is essential.
About You | Mōu
- A current full Drivers Licence
- A current first aid certificate or are you willing to obtain one
- Able to be flexible and available for varying shifts
- We welcome applicants who hold, are working towards, or are willing to work towards the New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing (NZCHW) or a recognised equivalent qualification.
