About the role Based at our Penrose branch, our Freight Sorters sort and load parcels, working to deadlines to have everything ready for courier pick-up and delivery. Freight Sorters also assist in maintaining the cleanliness of the deport and are dedicated to the team’s Health and Safety. It’s fast-paced, physical work that’s vital to keeping our customers’ businesses running smoothly.
This is a part time fixed term position that will end on 24 December 2026. It is 20 hours per week – Monday to Friday 4pm to 8pm.
What you’ll be doing
- Sort and load parcels accurately and efficiently
- Work to strict dispatch cut-off deadlines
- Maintain depot cleanliness and organisation
- Follow all Health and Safety procedures and guidelines
What we’re looking for
- You will be reliable, physically capable, and safety-focused, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Can lift within your capabilities repetitively and enjoy working on your feet
- Strong commitment to Health and Safety
- Have a sound knowledge of local and national geography
- Previous experience in warehousing or depot environment is advantageous, but not essential
