This summer season, we are looking for enthusiastic and reliable people who are not afraid of a little hard work, in return for some fun times in one of the best offices in New Zealand. You could be swinging a lift chair, a shovel, a cup of coffee and driving a bike shuttle, all in a week's work.
About the Role:
- The Team Leader oversees all Front of House, Back of House, and Barista operations. They also supervise staff to ensure a consistent, high-quality food and beverage product and customer service experience which exceeds our guests' expectations.
- Provides team leadership, communication skills, training skills and knowledge of all F&B related tasks.
- Requires organisational skills such as staff scheduling and staff performance management.
- In conjunction with the Summer Operations Manager, assists with staff induction, administration and performance management.
- Liaise with Kitchen Leaders about daily operations, menus, service and assist as required.
- Working to ensure a robust stock management process is in place. Also ensuring all outlets are fully stocked at all times.
- Ability to jump in and assist in any aspects of the department operations when required, such as Guest Services and Retail.
About You:
- At least two years of experience in a supervisory role within a Hospitality environment.
- Outstanding customer service and leadership skills.
- Experience in a fast-paced, high-volume or multi-outlet cafe, restaurant or bar.
- Solid understanding with Point of Sale including cashiering & end of day reconciliation.
- Experience with creating staff rosters to labour budget and managing the operation to meet varying business levels.
- Awareness of NZ Food safety standards & Food Control Plan requirements.
- Committed to creating a Health and Safety Culture.
- Knowledge of responsible service of alcohol - LCQ and Managers Certificate is desirable.
- A degree in hospitality management, business administration, or a related field is desirable.
Additional Information:
- Full time, fixed term summer contract from November 2026 to April 2027.
- Rate of pay - $28-30 per hour.
- Hours of work – minimum 30 hours per week.
- Location - Coronet Peak, Queenstown New Zealand.
