The Role

We're looking for a Food & Beverage Operations Manager to lead all F&B outlets, conferencing, and events at QT Queenstown. This is a permanent, full-time role with a minimum guaranteed 40 hours per week. You'll be a highly visible, hands-on leader, fostering a culture of elegance, precision, and anticipatory service across every guest touchpoint.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations across all F&B outlets, with a key focus on conferencing and events, maintaining an on-floor presence during peak periods.
• Lead the end-to-end planning and flawless execution of high-profile events — corporate conferences, luxury weddings, VIP functions and bespoke private dining — including precise execution of BEOs.
• Inspire, develop and roster a high-performing, service-driven team, with a focus on succession planning, coaching, and accountability.
• Drive profitability across F&B and events, monitoring revenue, labour costs and expenses, and contributing to budgeting and forecasting.
• Oversee procurement, stock control, and supplier relationships to maintain premium quality while minimising waste.
• Implement and elevate brand standards, SOPs, and compliance across hygiene, food safety, and health & safety.
• Deliver personalised guest experiences, handling VIP guests and service recovery with professionalism and discretion.

What You'll Bring

• Minimum 3 years of proven leadership experience within a luxury hotel or high-end hospitality environment. (Essential)
• Extensive experience in fine dining and high-end conference and event operations, including large-scale and VIP events.
• Strong commercial acumen and financial management skills, with confidence analysing revenue, labour and cost data.
• Working knowledge of hotel management systems (Opera PMS preferred)
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and public holidays, with impeccable personal presentation aligned with luxury brand standards.
