Description

We’re looking for someone who understands warm roofing systems, not just how to measure a roof. Dimond Roofing is looking for an experienced QS / Estimator – Technical Support professional to join our growing Advanced Roofing Systems (DARS) division.This is a national role supporting our branch network, roofing contractors, architects and specificationteams with accurate project quantities, technical system identification and tender support.Ideally, you’ll have experience estimating, designing, specifying or delivering commercial warm roof systems,with a strong understanding of insulated roofing assemblies, installation methodology, flashing details andcritical system interfaces.Key responsibilities include:- Preparing accurate quantity take-offs and Schedules of Quantities (SOQ) for commercial

• warm roof projects.
• Identifying the correct roofing systems, materials, flashings, penetrations, junctions and
• other critical details required for pricing.
• Reviewing architectural drawings and specifications against approved system details, Product
• Technical Statements (PTS) and CodeMark requirements.
• Supporting roofing contractors and branches with technical pricing information, scope
• clarification and tender documentation.
• Working with our Specification Team to identify compliant DARS alternatives to competitor-specified
• roofing systems.
• Maintaining accurate project records, quantities, documentation and reporting across the national
• DARS pipeline.

What we’re looking for:- Strong experience with commercial warm roof systems, which will be a key consideration when

• selecting candidates.
• A background in roofing estimating, quantity surveying, contracts management, technical support
• or commercial roofing project delivery.
• The ability to read and interpret architectural drawings, technical specifications and construction details.
• Practical knowledge of roofing installation methods, insulated roof systems and associated components.
• Excellent attention to detail, numerical ability and technical documentation skills.
• Strong IT skills, including Excel, Microsoft 365 and digital estimating or take-off software.
• Confidence communicating with roofing contractors, architects, consultants and internal stakeholders.
