About the Role
We have two exciting opportunities for either a New Graduate Registered Nurse or an Enrolled Nurse to join our team at White Cross New Brighton on a fixed term basis.
These roles are 12 months to support maternity leave cover and offer a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable experience within a supportive primary healthcare environment. Both working 32 hours per week.
Whether you are starting your nursing career or looking to further develop your skills as an Enrolled Nurse, you will be supported by an experienced team committed to helping you grow and succeed.
White Cross New Brighton is a well established clinic serving a diverse coastal community in Christchurch. You will work alongside experienced nurses, General Practitioners, and other healthcare professionals, gaining exposure to a broad range of clinical presentations while contributing to positive health outcomes for patients and their families.
What You Will Do
As a valued member of the clinical team, you will:
- Assist with the delivery of safe and effective nursing care.
- Support patient assessments, observations, and clinical procedures.
- Maintain accurate patient records and clinical documentation.
- Assist with triage and identify patients requiring timely review.
- Support preventative healthcare programmes, recalls, and screening activities.
- Deliver health education and wellbeing advice to patients and their families.
- Assist with infection prevention and control activities.
- Support stock management and day to day clinic operations.
- Participate in ongoing training, development, and quality improvement initiatives.
What You Will Bring
New Graduate Registered Nurse
- Current New Zealand Registered Nurse Annual Practising Certificate.
- Recent completion of a Masters and Bachelor of Nursing qualification.
- Strong commitment to learning and professional development.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A passion for delivering patient centred care.
- Legal entitlement to work in New Zealand.
Enrolled Nurse
- Current New Zealand Enrolled Nurse Annual Practising Certificate.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to delivering patient centred care.
- A willingness to learn and develop within a primary care environment.
- Legal entitlement to work in New Zealand.
