English Teacher - Fixed term, part time

Rangi Ruru Girls’ School is a high achieving and innovative school for young women. It caters for day and boarding students from Year 7 to Year 13.

About the Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and engaging English Teacher to join our team on a fixed term contract for Term 4, 2026. This part-time position involves teaching one Year 7 English class and one Year 8 English class, totalling 10 hours per week.

This is an exciting opportunity to inspire young learners through a dynamic and well-rounded English programme that develops literacy, communication, creativity and critical thinking skills. Working within a supportive and collaborative teaching environment, the successful candidate will have a passion for helping students grow in confidence and achieve their potential.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging English lessons for Year 7 and Year 8 students.

• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports student learning and wellbeing.

• Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.

• Foster a love of reading, writing and effective communication.

• Work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to the wider life of the school where appropriate.
